Who is Smart Remote — TV Control for?
Smart Remote — TV Control is made for households with a lost or broken original remote, for people running several TVs across living room, bedroom and kitchen, and for anyone who would rather launch a streaming app from their phone than from the TV menu. It is not suitable for older CRT or early LCD sets without a network connection.
How is Smart Remote — TV Control built?
Smart Remote — TV Control is a native iOS app. Control runs over the official manufacturer protocols: Samsung's WebSocket-based remote API, LG's webOS command channel, Roku's HTTP-based External Control Protocol and ADB-based control on Android TV. The television is never modified and no root access is required.
